Dorsett

John Dorsett came from Maryland and purchased 100 acres of land in Columbia Co., Georgia from William Ford on 25 Nov 1793, bounded by lands of Martin, Allison and Torrence. This same land was sold on 4 December 1800, Columbia Co., Anne Dorsett, George Naylor and wife, Henrietta (Dorsett) Naylor Appling, sold 100 acres of land which had been purchased by John Dorsett, Sr., deceased, for 10 shillings, inherited by above named heirs from the estate of John and Eleanor Dorsett, deceased.

John Dorsett m. Eleanor, his LWT dated 12 Sept 1792, probated 2 May 1796, Columbia County. There was much detail in the will, and many minor items listed. Grandchildren, Eleanor Culver, and Theodore and John King Dorsett, mentioned. A bond in Maryland from Vandal Bilbard to be divided between the heirs. Issue:
