Donaldson of Fulton County

L. D. McDonaldson was born 24 December 1801 in South Carolina according to the 1880 Census (of his son), died 5 December 1870 in Atlanta, buried Sardis Church Cemetery. His wife was Wealtha, born 13 April 1810, died 7 January 1880, buried Sardis Church Cemetery. Issue:

Silas Harper Donaldson, son of William Donaldson and his wife, Sarah (Reese) Donaldson, was born 30 December 1825 in South Carolina, farmer. He was married to Mary Ann Collier 6 January 1849 in DeKalb County, Georgia. Silas died 5 June 1892 in Fulton County, buried at the Sardis Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family were among the first settlers to the community of Buckhead after 1850. The Donaldson crypt erected ca 1890 by the Donaldson Construction Company is surrounded by Donaldson graves. Issue:
