Vann Davis, the son of Reason Davis and his wife, Elizabeth (Wood) Davis) of Maryland, was born ca 1740 on Abbotts Creek in Rowan County, North Carolina, and died 30 November 1810 in Anderson, South Carolina. He was married i n 1759 in Orange County, North Carolina to Susannah Carry (born 1730, died 1801). Issue:
- Hezekiah Davis, Sr., born ca 1760 on Abbotts Creek, died 29 January 1834 in Murphysboro, Jackson County, Illinois, buried in the Davis-Allen Cemetery in Murphysboro. He was married to Sarah Brewer Anderson (born 1764 in Pendleton District, South Carolina, died 1795 in Livingston County, Kentucky), a daughter of Philip Anderson. Issue:
- Van Davis, born 1785 in Pendleton District, South Carolina, died 15 March 1878 in Eastanolia, Franklin County, Georgia, buried near Avalon in said county. He married Mary Ann Carson (died 1876 in Eastanolia). Issue:[1]
- John Asa Davis, born 26 December 1806 in Harlan County, Kentucky, died 24 December 1888, buried in the Philadelphia Cemetery, Stephens County, Georgia.
