Peter Culbreath died 1794 in Columbia County, his LWT dated 3 April 1793, probated 2 January 1794. Named wife, Jane; daughters, Sarah, Mary, Nancy, Delpha, Phlory, Catherine Carr, Barbara Lucas, Margaret Culwell, Elizabeth Culwell and a son, James Culbreath. Peter received a Land Grant in Washington County, Georgia in 1784. PLAT He apparently was first a resident of Greene County where the following deed proved an early land grant, as follows:

Peter Culbreath and wife of the one part and Catharine Carr of the other part, consideration of 5 pds. lawful money, convey a tract of land in Columbia County located on the waters of Little Kiokia Creek, the same being part of a certain tract containing 200 acres granted to William McIntosh on 7 May 1771 and by him conveyed to David Thweatt on 1 July 1771 and by said David Thweatt to us on 10 September 1772, together with a tract of land the same being granted to William Ramsey and conveyed by him to John Ramsey and by John Ramsey to use exchange for which tract shall contain and include 100 acres, to be laid off beginning at the NW corner of the before mentioned tract of land granted to William McIntosh.
