Deed Book CC, page 133. John Crutchfield, Indian Trader, and wife, Susannah, deed to William Greaves 200 acres on Golden Grove Creeek, originally granted said John Crutchfield in 1787.
Deed Book F, page 245. John Crutchfield of Wilkes County sold to Thomas Ferguson of Charleston, South Carolina on 5 April 1796, for 200 pds., 287-1/2 acres of land which was granted to said Crutchfield by Samuel Elbert, bounded by John Young, Samuel Whitaker, James Hog, and vacant.
