Crumbley of Henry County
Anthony Crumbley, the son of John and Hannah Crumbley, was born 1760 in Germany and died 1 Jan 1844 in Henry County, Georgia. He was a Revolutionary War Soldier and
was first a resident of Washington County, later removing to Henry County. For his service as a Revolutionary War Soldier he received 250 acres of land on 2-2-1784; and on 1-5-1785 a grant of 287-1/2 acres in Washington County; a grant of 200 acres in Wilkes County on 8-10-1785. He sold 200 acres of land in Warren County on 9-29-1795 to Lewis Brantley for 30 pounds sterling. He also drew land in the 1821 Georgia Land Lottery in Henry County (Lot 243), Dooly County, and Lee County. He was married to Elizabeth Adeline Lee Armstrong (1772-1853 Stewart County, buried in the Union Methodist Church Cemetery in Quitman, Georgia). Anthony was buried in Henry County according to the tombstone of Elizabeth. Issue:[1]

- Alexander Crumbley, born 1800, died 1865 in Lavaca County, Texas, married 1-17-1835 in Henry County, Georgia, Nancy Castellaw, daughter of James and Sarah Arnold Castellaw.
- Catherine Crumbley, born 2-12-1802, died 3-29-1894 in Clay County, Alabama, married 11-17-1826 in Henry County William Elias House, buried Hatchett Creek Presbyterian Church.
- William Crumbley, born 1803, died after 1860, married 10-17-1843 in Henry County, Grace Ann Moore.
