Carmichael of North Carolina and Georgia
Duncan Carmichael was born in 1755 and died 3 July 1834 in Stokes County, North Carolina. He was a Revolutionary War Soldier who drew a pension for his services.[1] He was listed on the 1790 and 1800 Caswell County, North Carolina Census and the 1820 Stokes County, North Carolina Census.

- William Carmichael, Sr. was born 1780 and died 5 October 1846 in Georgia. He married (1) Sallie Smith on 25 October 1799 in Caswell County, North Carolina and (2) Elizabeth Williams, 1818 in Caswell County. Issue:
- William Carmichael, Jr., born 18 July 1802 in Caswell County, died 2 December 1887 in Cherokee County, Georgia.[2] He married Nancy Reid in Madison, Morgan County, Georgia. They are buried in the Pine Knott Cemetery near Lebanon, Georgia. Issue:[3]
- Hilliard Reid Carmichael, born 14 March 1827 Georgia, died 14 December 1861, married 4 July 1847 in Cherokee County, Eveline Fincher (born 1827), listed on the 1850 Cherokee County Census (Fam. 441-2). Issue:
- Sarah Carmichael, born 1845 in Cherokee County.
- Joseph Marion Carmichael, born 17 November 1852 in Cherokee County, died 29 November 1932, married on 22 November 1886, Hattie Culclasure Gooch in McKinney, Collin County, Texas. The Estate of Hattie Culclasure Carmichael, deceased, was recorded in Book 7, page 471, Probate Minutes, Collin County, Texas. Issue:[4]
- Clyde T. Carmichael, born 19 September 1887 in Nevada, Collin County, Texas, died 24 May 1943 in Albuqueque, New Mexico, buried in Dallas, Texas. He married on 8 August 1907 Hattie Elizabeth Stewart in Ft. Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. They had a son, Clyde T. Carmichael, Jr., born 14 January 1912 in Dallas County, Texas, married 18 July 1936 Erma V. Cogdill in Hobart, Kiowa County, Oklahoma.
