Burnsides of Columbia County
Martin Burnsides, his LWT dated 4 November 1803, probated 31 January 1804 in Columbia County. Wife, Elizabeth.

- Elizabeth Burnsides married Zenue Parker on 17 December 1810 in Columbia County.

- Matthew Burnsides. Columbia County Deed Book C, page 275-276. 19 April 1800. Matthew Burnsides deeded to James Guist for $60.00, 7 acres of land located on Germany Creek, being part of a land grant to Samuel Willson which was sold to the said Matthew Burnsides.
- James Burnsides. He married Harriet Marie Petitt on 14 November 1832 in Columbia County.
- Thomas Burnsides. He made his LWT on 14 January 1828, probated 21 April 1828 in Columbia County because he was about to engage in a dual with George Crawford. "Being about to have a contest of a sanguinary nature, with a man with whom I have never sought a quarrel of any sort." His heirs were his wife and dear children. Named a son, James; also his old and affectionate mother. The dual was fought at Fort Mitchell across from the Chattahoochee, and Burnside was killed on the third exchange of fire. He married in Columbia County on 6 November 1811 Elizabeth Pierce.
Columbia County Deeds
10 April 1800. Thomas Burnside deeded to James Guest for $60.00, seven acres of land, being part of a tract on Germanys Creek, granted to Samuel Wilson and by him deeded to said Burnside.
