BOHANNON



Duncan Bohannonlived on Newford Creek, in old Wilkes, now Lincoln Co., Ga. Elijah Clark deeded 850 acres in Capt. Pope's District (1787) to William Freeman, adjoining the land of Duncan Bohannan, Richard Call and Francis Stripling. The LWT of Duncan Bohannon probated 1 Jul 1811 Lincoln Co. named his wife, Elizabeth, and children. Issue:

  1. William Bohannon b. ca 1795 m. in Clarke Co., Barbara Bohannon 6 Mar 1815. He died in Clarke Co. in 1815, for Henry Carleton was made Guardian of Isaiah W. Bohannon, orphan of William, 6 May 1815. William Spink was made Guardian of Duncan Bohannon, orphan of William Bohannon, dated 4 May 1818, Clarke Co., Ga. Issue:

    1. Isaiah W. D. Bohannon m. Jane Norton 30 April 1833 Newton Co., Ga. He was named in the LWT of Rebecca Hamilton, Newton Co., Ga., probated 24 Nov 1845, naming Isaiah as her son-in-law.
    2. Duncan Bohannon.

  12. John Bohannon of Greene Co., Ga. Greene Co. Deed dated 12 February 1802, John Bohannon of Greene Co. to John Cox, 46 acres in Greene Co., on Greene Briar Creek, the same tract whereon John Bohannon lives, page 571, Deed Book 3.
