Bivins of Wilkinson County



William Bivins, Revolutionary War Soldier, was born 1745, died 1828, his LWT dated 5 March 1828 in Wilkinson County. Wife, Polly Melson Hall, the widow of Isaac Hall. At his death he ordered sold 800 acres in the 5th District of Wilkinson County for the benefit of supporting his son, Martin Luther Bivins. Issue:
  1. Martin Luther Bivins, born 1815 in Georgia. He was a resident of Marion County in 1850. Issue:
    1. Polly Ann Bivins, born 1840 Georgia.
    2. Martha R. Bivins, born 1842 Georgia.
  2. John Bivins, deceased before 1828, married Susan. Susan inherited 202-1/2 acres of land in the 7th District, Lot 57, from the Estate of William Bivins. Issue:
    1. Appleton Bivins, inherited land in Carroll County in the 11th District, No. 98, from his grandfather, William Bivins.
  3. Ellifair Bivins married Mr. English.
  4. Abigail Bivins married Mr. Baker.
