21 Jul 1797. Charles Crawford, executor of the LWT of Thomas Barrett (13 August 1786), date of probate, sells land on Ochee Creek, 81 acres to Josias Boswell for $26.00.

His son:

Thomas Barrett, a native of England came to Augusta and established a commission business. He died in 1825. He was married to Miss Strong, a native of Oxford, England, and had seven children.

Thomas Barrett was born in Augusta in 1807. He became a resident of the State Bank of Augusta before the war; after the war, he was a resident of the City Bank of Augusta. He was a member of the Silver Grays, Georgia Reserves, during the Civil War. He died in April 1865. He married Mary Savannah Glascock(born 1813 Ga) on September 16, 1830 in Richmond County, a daughter of Harriett H. Glascock (born 1790 Georgia). Issue:
  1. Harriett Barrett born 1832 Georgia.
  2. Ann Barrett born 1834 Georgia.
  3. Thomas Glascock Barrett, Colonel, stock and bond broker of Augusta, was born July 5, 1838. In 1859 he joined with his father, Thomas Barrett, and his cousin, John B. Carter, entering into the wholesale drug business in Augusta, under the firm-name of Barrett, Carter & Co. This firm dissolved after ten years, and Barrett continued in the business for another eleven years. In 1882 he was elected resident of Bathaer Mills, of Augusta. He was a Lieutenant in the Irish Volunteers, and when the war broke out, his company was assigned to the Fifth Georgia Infantry, being known as Company C. After nine months into the war, he returned to Augusta to organize another company, and found himself assigned (by General Bragg) as Captain of company C, Seventeenth Alabama Infantry, at Corinth, Mississippi. Later transferred to company B, attached to the staff of General John K. Jackson, where he served until after the fall of Savannah. Among the battles in which he fought was Santa Rosa Island, Florida, Farmington, Mississippi, "Dog Trot", Kentucky, Murfreesboro, Chattanooga, Chickamauga and Lookout Mountain. In February of 1861 he married Grace Arrington Ware, a daughter of Dr. Edward R. Ware of Athens. Grace died January 1893. Issue:
