Barber of Clarke & Polk Counties

James Barber was born ca 1765, died 31 July 1847 in Clarke County. Wife, Penelope, died 1849 in Monroe County. Issue:

1. Cinderilla Ruby Barber, born 30 December 1795, died 27 January 1857 in Monroe County, buried in the Hanson Cemetery.

3. Gray Barber, born 1798, died 5 June 1866 in Broken Arrow, St. Clair County, Alabama.
   
   
4. Allen Barber was born in South Carolina, died August 1869 in Polk County. He was married in Clarke County on 11 November 1819 to Frances Crawford. Frances was born 1801 in South Carolina and resided with her son, Wiley C. Barber, 1880, in Rockmart. Known issue:

   1. Wiley C. Barber, born 7 July 1820 in Georgia, died 4 April 1892 in Polk County, buried in the Van Wert Cemetery. His first wife was Emily, born 20 May 1833, died 27 April 1876, buried in the same cemetery. He married (2), Elizabeth (born 1840 in Georgia). Issue by first wife:

   1. Lena G. Barber, born 5 August 1862, died 26 April 1879, buried in Van Wert Cemetery.
   2. Scott E. Barber, born 7 July 1868, died 9 February 1884, buried in Van Wert Cemetery.
   3. Wiley C. Barber, born 1872 in Georgia.
