Family members said he was of the family of Benjamin Franklin married Phoebe Parker (ca 1724-1824) Issue: John, Davis, Moses, Jonathan, Samuel, Jemima, Pheba, Anna, Lydia, Mary, Rachel.

He died Burke Co., NC 9/3/1837.
