Lewis of Greene County
Walker Lewis, son of Richard Lewis and his wife Caroline (Booker) Lewis, was born 23 Sept 1774 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and died 9 May 1860 in Greene County, buried in the Hill Lewis Cemetery.[1] He was married on 10 June 1798 in Greene County to Mary Graham, born 8 Oct 1777, died 3 Nov 1851.[2] Issue:
- Theophilus Lewis married Rebecca Shipp 31 May 1827 in Greene County.
- Alenath Lewis, married (1) Zacheus Wright[3] on 19 November 1820 in Greene County and (2) John Braddy on 7 January 1847 in Greene County.
- Cynthia Lewis married Ebenezer Smith on 12 Mar 1818 in Greene County.
- Sarah Lewis married Wiley Wright on 28 Apr 1821 in Greene County.
- Josiah Lewis.
- Miles Walker Lewis.
- Cephas Lewis, born 1 June 1804 in Greene County, died 22 April 1887 in Greene County. He was married (1) on 14 Nov 1834 in Greene County, Sarah Ellis (1820-1860 and (2) to Emily Hall Chambers 1818-15 Feb 1863) on 30 Jan 1843 in Greene County. In 1880, he resided with his daughter, Emmer Perkins. Known issue:
- Emma Lewis, born 2 April 1850 in Greene County, died 8 Feb 1911 Greene County, buried Cephas Lewis Cemetery, married Hamilton Troup Perkens (1836-7 Nov 1910) and had issue:[4]

[3] Greene County Will Book F, page 252, LWT of Zacheus Wright dated 5/7/1840 named wife, Araneth Wright, to her bequeathed 300-400 acres of a farm and slaves which he had purchased from his father-in-law, Walker Lewis. Children to be raised on the farm.
