FIRST-GENERATION. John Bone was born ca 1740 in Pennsylvania and married on 19 January 1762 in Prince George Parish, South Carolina, Elizabeth Jordan. John Bone died in 1796 in Jackson County, Georgia. John Bone's genealogy appears to be linked with that of those Bones who migrated from Pennsylvania into Rowan County, North Carolina. SECOND GENERATION. George Bone, son of John, was born in 1763 in Marlboro County, South Carolina, and died in August of 1845 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. He was married to Penelope who died in 1847.
THIRD GENERATION. John Bone was born ca 1775 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, and was married in Greene County, Georgia to Peggy Burns. John Bone died 1820/1823 in Clarke County, Georgia. FOURTH GENERATION. John Bone was born in 1794 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, and married in 1814 Madison County, Georgia to Sally Adair, a daughter of Bozeman Adair, Sr. Sally died 1870/1880 in Paulding County, Georgia.

Gold Mining in Carroll County Georgia Apparently, John Bone was among those persons who heard that gold was discovered in Carroll County, Georgia, and went there to try his hand at it ca 1840. However, he had settled in Paulding County by 1850.
