Pinckney of Charleston

Charles Pinckney was born 1699 in Charleston, South Carolina and died 12 Jan 1758 at his home Mt. Pleasant in Charleston. He was married twice, his first wife dying in 1744.

“ On Monday last died after a tedious indisposition, Mrs. Pinckney, late wife of the Hon. Charles Pinckney, Esq; one of the Members of his Majesty's Council; and on Thursday she was interred in a handsome manner, the funeral being attended by His Excellency the Governor, both Houses of Assembly, and other persons of distinction. Monday, January 30, 1744. ”

• Roger Brewton 1735-1776 married Elizabeth.
  

  “ Yesterday morning died, after a tedious and lingering illness, Mrs. Elizabeth Pinckney, the wife of Roger Pinckney, Esq., Provost Marshal of this province. Monday, Aug. 15, 1768.”

Issue of Charles Pinckney by his second wife, Elizabeth Lucas (died April 1793) whom he married 25 May 1744 in Charleston.

• Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, born 25 Feb 1746 in Charleston, died 1 Aug 1825 in Charleston. He was married on 28 Sept 1773 to Sarah Middleton, born 5 Jul 1758, died 5 May 1784 in Charleston, a daughter of Henry Middleton and his wife, Mary Williams Middleton. After Sarah's death, he was married to Mary Stead in July of 1786. Issue:
