Hughey of Union County, South Carolina

The Hughey family originated in Ireland. The first to come to South Carolina was John Hughey who died 1792 in Union District. John and his wife, Mary, had issue: Joseph Hughey, born ca 1750. After the death of his first wife, John removed to Orange County, Florida to become an orange grower where he was found on the 1880 census with wife, Hannah M., age 63.

John Hughey was born 5/24/1792. His wife, Mary ann, was born 12/15/1805. Issue:
