Oxford Family

Jonathan Oxford was born 1805 and settled in Buncombe County, North Carolina. He was married to Miss White by whom he had four children. The family removed to Lumpkin County, Georgia where they resided until 1846, afterwards removing to Walker County where he died in 1850. Issue:

Jacob Oxford, settled in Georgia but later removed to middle Tennessee.
David Oxford, died Whitfield County, Georgia, never married.
Elizabeth Oxford married (1) James Owenby and (2) William Hall; went to Kansas.
John Oxford, born 24 Nov 1799 in Buncombe County, North Carolina; married Jane Baker (1804-1854) of Ashe County, North Carolina; went to Lumpkin County, Georgia; later to Walker County, then to Dawson (Terrell County) where he died in 1882.
