McCall of Transylvania County


Samuel McCall was born ca 1769 in Orange County and was married to Eleanor Ellison, born 1780, of Burke County. She was the granddaughter of Humphrey and Bridget Montgomery who came to Rowan County, North Carolina from Lancaster, Pennsylvaia about 1750. Samuel McCall settled in the Long Branch area of the Pisgah National Forest where Robert and Rachel McCall were buried. . The 1850 census shows him to be in Macon County, North Carolina, aged 81 years, wagon maker, in the Horse Cove District. Issue:
