Apparently, he amassed a considerable estate, as when he died, his representative came to Atlanta to try and locate his heirs. He was married to Katherine HUDSON on 29 Nov 1866 in Paulding Co., Ga.. Katherine HUDSON was born on 18 May 1844 in Putnam Co., Ga.. She died on 22 Apr 1925 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Olivet Cemetery, near Dallas, Ga."

She was married to Thomas M. COLLINS (son of Humphrey COLLINS and Elizabeth BONE) on 26 Dec 1875 in Dallas, Paulding Co., Ga.. Thomas M.
