Robert Atkinson settled in Caswell County before the Revolutionary War and died in 1784, leaving a Last Will and Testament naming his children, viz: Ransom, Patsy, Mary and Jane.
Ransom Atkinson of Caswell County deeded to John Atkinson of Caswell County for 210 pds, land on Hyco Creek adjoining McReynolds, on line of Barnhill 11 Feb 1786.
