Charles Abercrombie, Revolutionary War Soldier, the son of Robert Abercrombie, Sr. and his wife, Jane, was born 4 March 1742 in Orange County, North Carolina, died 23 August 1819 in Hancock County, Georgia. He married on 18 December 1769 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Edwina Dicey Malinda Boothe (born 6 October 1751 in Mecklenburg County, died September 1804 in Hancock County). Issue:

• Abner Abercrombie, born 10 January 1771 in Orange County, North Carolina, died 1826 in Montgomery, Alabama.
  
  
• Edmund Abercrombie was born 12 January 1773 in Orange County, North Carolina, died 1829 in Sparta, Hancock County. He married Mary Pollard, born 25 December 1778. He was a security on the bond offered by the administrator of the estate of William Pride, deceased, 1802 in Hancock County. Issue:
