Hardwick, Thomas W., of the debaters of the State University Class of 1893 (Athens, Georgia), "..of the Phi Kappa, is one of the most eloquent young orators in the state. He entered Mercer college in the fall of '89 where he graduated with honor in the class of '93. While at Mercer he made a remarkable record. In his junior year he was elected a champion debater, leading his entire ticket. He also won a speakers' place every year while there and besides these held qite a number of offices in his society. He entered the university in the fall of '92 with the present law class. Endowed with sagacity, a good voice and a clear head, Tom Hardwick has a bright and fruitful future before him.
