The pension of Annie Helen Hall Eve is being mailed to you. I found her pension in Burke and Fulton Counties. It appears she received a pension from 1891 to 1905. They appear to be a duplicate. Here is a link to the PDF File which you can print out, enlarge, etc. EVE PENSION
7/1/2008. The info on my grgrandfather, Alexander, aka "Allick", Lawton, as a two (2) year old (B: 1878), appears right. With this, you've found my grgrgrandfather M.L. Lawton and grgrgrandmother, Elizabeth! Thanks so much, Jeannette. I will try to further inquire within my family as to Annie Hall Eve Ward's place of death in effort to locate her death cert. I am anxious to receive a copy of Annie Helen Hall Eve's Widow's pension application, as with this, my application to the United Daughters of the Confederacy, I believe, will be complete. Again, I very much appreciate your good efforts on my behalf. In Southern friendship, Cheryl Marie Lawton
Report 6/30/2008: I have attempted to locate the Death Certificate of Annie Hall Eve Ward. The State of Georgia does not have this certificate. I am wondering if she remarried, or if it could be under another name or she died in another State. Otherwise, here are some suggestions on another way to obtain it.
- Write the Sexton of the cemtery where she is buried and ask that cemetery to look in their files. Modern cemeteries usually have a file and copy of the death certificate .
- Contact the funeral director. They also keep a copy of the death certificate. If you do not know who this is, search the obituary column in the local Floyd County newspaper.
Civil War Pension of Annie Helen Hall Eve. I will be going to the Georgia State Archives within the next several weeks and search for it then.

Hello, Jeanette,
I think the service you provide is so very helpful!
I am applying for membership to the United Daughters of the Confederacy and have invited you to view my ancestry.com family tree, for reference convenience.
1. I am trying to locate a copy of my grgrgrgrandmother's (Annie Helen Hall Eve) Georgia confederate widows pension application. I need to find out where I can get a copy (print out from online database, with source reference, will do), This website provides a copy of the actual application: http://home.earthlink.net/~larsrbl/eveo.htm.
2. I am also trying to locate the death certificate of my grgrandmother, Annie Hall Eve Ward, but have been unable to find it via Georgia state records online searches -- my ancestry.com tree listing on her provides all information I could find on her.
3. I am also interested in finding out more on my grgrandfather, Alexander Lawton. My uncle tells me that Alexander was from McCormick County / Calhoun Falls area of South Carolina. I am trying to find out if Alexander's father, whom I believe is Alexander W. Lawton, served in the Confederate Army.
Any assistance you can provide is so very much appreciated.
Sincere regards,
- Cheryl Marie Lawton
