Clarke

Jan. 15, 2013. I subscribed last month. Does that count? I also submitted our Clarke family bible. The gravestone in Oakland Cemetery in Newnan says Major Brantley Clarke but I can't find the connection to that family. The Coweta County Chronicles also lists two differeent names for his father - Edward Clarke and Joseph Clarke. I did learn that Edward is not his father. According to a court record in S. C. Edward Clark intermarried in the Clarke family after Major B.'s mother's father, Hezekiah Hardin, Harden, Harding passed. Edward Clarke married Mary Harding after Hezekiah Harding died. The Coweta County Chronicles lists another man, Joseph Clarke, as MB's father. I would just like to know from which Clarke/Harding MB is actually from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
