ROBERTS, Richard, S38339, Georgia, Wayne Co., appl. dtd 3/11/1819; Pvt in Capt. Simon Bright's Co., Hardee Murphrees and C. Hall's Co., Col. Clark's 2nd N. C. Regt.; in battles of Great Bridge, White plains and Sou. Campaign under Gen. Greene. Served in all 7 yrs., a native of N. C.

ROGERS, Humphrey, Anson Co. Court, Oct. Term 1799, ordered that Humphrey RogerS, invalid, be allowed 12 pds., in militia during late war. James Redfern swore 10/18/1800 he was in battle with Rogers under Col. Thomas Wade at Drowned Creek when Tories came in conflict. Evening after battle, Redfern saw Rogers among wounded, appearing badly wounded, a prisoner. In 1804 RogerS sd he was wounded in the head and one head by a sword. ROGERS,Wilson R8964t Tennessee, Lawrence Co., application dtd 1/8/1833, age 73 on 2/26th next; enl. 1775t Capt. William Clovert Col. Lillington, 6th Regt. t N. C. Line, 2 yrs., 6 mos. in Granville Co., N. C.; at battl~ of Eutaw Springs. Is poor, blind.

ROSAMOND, Samuel, W4579, Georgia, Walton Co., appl. of James Ro~amond, age 38 on 1/14/1845, son of Samuel and Sarah. Father was Lt. in Capt. Crain Jones' Co., Col. Robert Anderson's Regt. during war; 1782 apptd Capt. sd Regt. S. C. Militia. Soldier m. Sarah Hodges 1785/6 and he d. 8/11/1814 Anderson Dist. Wid., Sarah, d. 4/24/1844, lvg children: Elizabeth Phyles; Margaret powell, wife of Ezekiel; Sarah Garrison, wife of Barksdale; Lucinda Clark, wife of Abner; Jane Liddell, wife of James L.; Addison,Richard and .James Rosamond; and Mary Clark Rosamond.

ROSS, Charles, S39036, Alabama, Morgan Co., appl. dtd 4/1824, age 65, enl. fall 1779, Capt. George Lambert, Col. James Davis, 14th Va. Regt., taken prisoner at Charleston; then svd under Capt. Lambert until cashiered; onboard prison ship at Charleston until after surrender of Cornwallis. Was at battles of Stony Pt. and Charleston. Family consists of wife, Lucy, age 70, an invalid.
