OAKS, Isaac, 814046, Alabama, Perry Co., application dtd 6/7/.1833, was b. 5/13/1760 Louisa Co., Va. Enl. 12/1776, 3 mos., Capt. James Hawkins' Co., Col. Mathews's Regt. Enl. 3 mos., Capt. Buckner's Va. Co., discharged 7/1/1777. Enl. 3 mos., Capt. James Hawkins., discharged 10/1777. Enl. 3 mos., Capt. Buckner. Enl. 3 mos. Capt. James Hawkins, discharged summer of 1778. After the war he moved to Albemarle Co., Va., then Oglethorpe Co., Ga. for abt 30 yrs. ISAAC OAKS, contd and abt 1827 moved to Perry Co., Ala. his last pension payment wad 3/4/1844 to 9/4/1844, made 4/19/1845 to William Stringfellow as atty for pensioner.
OATES, Richard Wyatt, R77642, Georgia, Sumter Co., application dtd 11/4/1844, was b. 7/26/1762 Wayne Co., N. C., lived 13 yrs. Coweta Co., Ga., 4 yrs. Harris Co. (1831-1835), then Sumter Co., Ga. Was at battle of Guilford Court House, Ramsour's Mills and Camden. Discharged at Little Linches Creek. he re-enl. under Gen. John Grantham. His widow, Elizabeth Wyatt Oates, apple 8/10/1852.
OLLIFF, John Shears, R7788, Georgia, Bulloch Co., was b. Duplin Co., N. C. in 1752. Enl. from Duplin Co. for 5 yrs. in regular army and militia under Gen. Green, Maj. Fry and Col. Rhodes. Was in battle of Eutaw Springs, South Carolina. Wife, Johannah Jackson, b. 1755 in N. C. m. 1786. Johannah d. 1830 Bulloch Co., Ga. Children: John, Jr. b. 1792 m. 3/30/1815 Elizabeth Fitzpatrick; Benjamin Shears Olliff b. 1/23/1794 m. 924/1815 Elizabeth Turner; Joseph b. 4/18/1798 m. 1819 Rebecca Donaldson; Susannah m. Jordan Brooks; Elizabeth m. William Stanford and Polly m. 1/17/1822 Allen Robinson.

William Blackwell's Co., Col. Patrick Henry's Va. Regt.; 1777-1778 svd as Pvt., Capt. John Ashley, Col. Mercer, Col. Weldon, 3rd Va. Regt. 1779. Svd 3 mos. as Pvt., Capt. Richard Allen, Col. Hampton, N. C. Troops, 3 mos. as Sgt. under Capt. John G. Lowman and Col. Williams, taken prisoner at Charleston during surrender 5/1780.

She married Abraham Osborn 6/3/1773 in home of her father, Samuel Allen in Monmouth Co., N. J. Abraham, in 1836, age 52, states he is 5th child of Abraham and Elizabeth Osborn, has 3 bros. and 3 sisters living -- oldest bro., Samuel, age 62, 12th day of last March; Catherine Curtis; William Osborn, decd; James Osborn; Anna Havens; Jane Havens; Elizabeth Clayton, decd. 8/2/1836 Elizabeth Osborn states she has living children by said husband, viz: Samuel, age 72 last Mar.; Catherine Curtis; _~nna Havens; Abraham Osborn; Jane Havens; and Jane Osborn.
