Elias Edmund's Co. of Art.; Apr. or May 1781, 2 mos., as Orderly Sgt., Capt. William Jennings, Col. Elias Edmund; 2 mos., same co. Soldier d. 12/1/1841. He married 11/29/1786 Fauquier Co., Va., Susannah Mawzey, her apple dtd 5/4/1843, aged 77, refers to her son.
KENDRICK, Abel, R5861, Georgia, Hall Co., appl. dtd 3/14/1834, aged 75, vol. spring of 1779, Capt. William Grant, as Pvt. militiaman; drafted 3 mos., S. C. Militia, Capt. William Grant, Col. Brandon, in attack against British at Savannah, forced to retreat, disch.; 1780 drafted 3 mos. as militiaman, Capt. James Stein, Maj. Jolly, Col. Brandon, went to Charleston; drafted 3 mos., Capt. Grant, marched to Blackstock's Ford on Tiger River, had skirmish with British; 1781 drafted, Capt. Robert Montgomery, Maj. Kelly, 3 mos., Gen. Pickens, in battle Eutaw Springs 9/1781; drafted 1782, 3 mos. to fight indians, Lt. Henley, Col. Kilgore; was b. Hanover Co., Va. 3/14/1759 and lived Union Dist., S. C. when served, and for 20 yrs., then moved Franklin Co., Ga.; has lived in Hall Co., Ga. for 13 yrs. Affidavit of Robert, his son, Marietta, Ga. 12/8/1853, stating father d. intestate Hall Co. 8/23/1836, leaving wid., Judy Kendrick and 7 children, and that his wid. d. intestate Forsyth, Monroe Co., Ga. 9/28/1836.
KELLY, William
KENDRICK, John, Petition to Committee of Petitions and Memorials of Legislature dtd 12/29/1786, states he was wounded in engagement at the Brown Marsh in 1781, vouchers attached that Kendrick, was a deserving officers under Gen.
