Irwin, Alexander 4/29/1792-5/10/1842. Served in the Indian War (1815). Buried in the Irwin Family Cemetery, Southwest of Tennille, Georgia, near Ohoopee Church.

Irwin, Jared, Governor. 1750-1818. Colonel in the American Revolution; Brigadier-General in the Indian War, three times Governor of Georgia, Signer of the famous deed rescinding the Yazoo Fraud. He died at Union Hill, his county Seat. Buried in the Irwin Family Cemetery, Southwest of Tennille, Georgia, near Ohoopee Church.

Irwin, John Lawton, General. 1755-1822, Captain during the Revolutionary War. Brigadier-General of the Georgia Militia and during the War of 1812. Buried in the Irwin Family Cemetery, Southwest of Tennille, Georgia, near Ohoopee Church.
