The following are the relatives on the Adams and Lane side:
- Edward Herndon Adams was born May 6, 1768, died Sept. 33, 1827. He married Ann Rucker. She was born May 9, 1766 and died April 11, 1845 in Elbert County, Georgia.
- James Adams was born in Franklin County, Virginia Mar. 5, 1795, moved to Elbert County, Georgia about 1818. He was married to Frances Herndon in 1820, who was born Dec. 3, 1800. They moved to Jasper County, Georgia 1820, nine miles south of Monticello. The old home stands now (1937). They had fifteen children. The mother died when the last child was born.
- The father died Aug. 3, 1857.
- Edward Herndon Adams was born Feb. 7, 1824 in Jasper County and was buried there. He married Julia Ann Hancock who was born Dec. 1828 in Jasper County, Georgia. She died Dec. 28, 1905 in Twiggs County, Georgia. They had thirteen children.
- Georgia Ann Adams was born Mar. 8, 1843 in Jasper County, Georgia, died (not certain of date), probably in June 1920. She was buried in Jasper County near Bethel Church in the Bone Cemetery. She married Robert Mayne Lane, who was born April 19, 1839 in Putnam County, Georgia who died in the month of June 1862, in old Virginia on May 20, 1862, he went to the army (confederate), in June he died from the effects of a bomb explosion. His last words were to his wife and relatives on going to the army, "lTake care of my baby until I come back." She (his baby), Robert Mayne Lane was born a few days after his departure, so he never so her.
- Roberta Mayne Lane was born May 25, 1862 in Jasper County, Georgia. She was married to James Byrd Edwards of Monroe County, Georgia, Jan. 25, 1880. They had four children.
- James Edwin, Julia Gertrude, James Lane and Roberta Crawford.
- Julia Gertrude Edwards was born Nov. 24, 1884 at Flovilla, Georgia. Joined the Southern Methodist Church in the summer of 1901, at the age of 7. Was married to Rev. L. G. Marlin of Rugby, Indiana, at Jackson, Georgia, Lloyd Garrison, June 27, 1907
