George Webb, the son of Conrade Webb of London, a merchant, came to Virginia before 1728 and married Lucy, the daughter of Colonel Joseph Foster. Geroge Webb purchased land on the Pamunkey River where he established his plantation. He was also a marchant and operated a ferry across the Pamunkey on the New Kent side. He served as a vestryman of St. Peter's Parish from 1746 to 1758 and was sheriff in 1737. After Lucy died, George married Anne, a daughter of John Bickerton of Hanover County on 4 June 1742. George Webb died in 1758. Lucy was burie in the family burial yard.Here lies the body of Lucy late wife of George Webb of the County of New Kent Gent: to whom during a married life of 22 years she bore 6 children, of whom four sons, George, Lewis, Foster and John survived her. She departed this life December 30, 1750 in the 54th year of her age.

- Foster Webb, born 3 Jan 1732/2. He died 5 Dec 1734.
- Sara Webb, born 9 Nov 1734, died 4 Dec 1735.

- John Webb, born 5 June 1740.

- Mary Webb, born 25 Sept 1756.
