Sehorn of Shenandoah County
Nicholas Sehorn came from Germany to Shenandoah County, Virginia. Issue:
- John Sehorn, born 1748, was Captain in the Revolutionary War; removed to Sheorns Ferry near Dandridge, Tennessee;
served as an entry-taker of the State of Franklin for Caswell County in 1787. He was married to Elizabeth Cathey of
Catheys River. Issue:
- Cathey Sehorn, physician, born 1790, removed to Clark County (now Crawford), Illinois where he died in 1831. He
married (1) to Elizabeth Montgomery, daughter of Humphrey Montgomery of Rockbridge County and (2)Jane Gay. Issue:
- Marion Sehorn of Wytheville, Virginia, married Rebecca Wallace.
- Nicholas Sehorn, Jr., removed to Camden District, South Carolina.
