William Richardson, Quaker, son of Joseph Richardson (born 1678) and Sarah Thomas, was born in 1712, and married Isabella Calmes. Issue:
- Elizabeth Richardson, born 1747, married Colonel Samuel Price.
- Miriam Richardson, born 1748, married Colonel John Buck.
- Sarah Richardson, born 1750, married Captain Benjamin Combs.
- Mary Richardson, born 1752, married Charles Buck.
- John Croley Richardson, born 1754, captain in the Revolutionary war; coroner of Shenandoah County. He was married to Sarah Hall, a sister of Catherine Hall who married Samuel Richardson. They removed to Fayette County, Kentucky. Issue:
- William Hall Richardson, physician, professor of obstretics of Transylvania University, marrieed Judith Swann Boswell.
- Edward Richardson married Fannie Respass.
- Marian Richardson married William L. Richards.
- John Croley Richardson, Major, married Mary Parker.
- Ann Richardson, born 1756, married Captain Thomas Buck of the Revolutionary War.
- Samuel Richardson, born 1760, married Catherine Hall.
- William Richardson, born 1763, married Rebecca Pugh.
