Preston of Campbell County
Thomas Preston patented 454 acres in 1773, located on the north side of the Staunton River.
John and Rebecca Preston, Quakers, removed from Goose Creek in Loudoun County to the South River Meeting in 1792, taking with them eight minor children. Rebecca served as a clerk to the South River Meeting in 1803. Issue:
- Zenas Preston. Wife, Elizabeth.
- John Preston Jr., in 1798 he was disowned by the Society of Friends for laying wagers.
- Amos Preston removed to the New Garden Meeting in Ohio in 1810.
