Patteson of New Kent and Lunenburg Counties


Thomas Patteson served as a processioner of lands in New Kent County in 1689. The St. Peter's Parish Register lists a number of Pattesons.

David Patteson, son of Thomas, was vestryman in 1729; resigned 1741. David had eleven children born to him, all listed in the register. His last child was Jonathan Patteson (1712-1773) who assumed ownership of Roxbury Plantation, but ca 1765 he removed to Lunenburg County where he died in May of 1774.
