Lybrook of Patrick and Giles Counties

Judge Andrew Murray Lybrook, born 18 Jan 19832, died 1 Jan 1899; came from Giles County to Stuart, Patrick County, where he practiced law. He was a captain in the War Between the States of Co. I, 24th Virginia Regiment. He served as judge of Patrick County from 1880 to 1881. He was married to Mary Reynolds, daughter of Harden W. Reynolds. She died in 1885, survived by a husband and eight children. He married (2) to Miss Bettie Forkner. Buried in the Stuart Cemetery in Patrick County. Issue:

• Nancy Margaret Lybrook married R. E. Lasater, resided at Forest Hills.
• Harden Philip Lybrook, died a young man.
• Richard Lybrook, died a young man.
• Samuel Murray Lybrook resided in Patrick County.
• Johnson Lybrook resided in Davie County. He was married to Muriel Piper. Issue:
  1. David Lybrook, married Bettie Blood.
  2. William Lybrook.
  3. Murray Lybrook.
  4. Mary Martha Lybrook, married Charles Neal.
  5. Elizabeth Lybrook.
