Thomas Flournoy was born 15 Dec 1811 in Prince Edward County; married on 1 Jan 1835 to Miss Susan Ann Love, daughter of Allen Love, Esq., a distinguished lawyer, by whom he had six children. Thomas Flournoy was a lawyer, died 12 Mar 1883 in Halifax County. After the death of Susan Ann, he married on 22 July 1852 at "Coles Hill" Mildred H. Coles, the daughter of Hon. Walter Coles of Pittsylvania County and his wife, Lettice, daughter of Judge Paul Carrington, the elder of Charlotte County, and by her had seven children.
