Captain Henry Duke, son of William Duke, was Justice of the Peace in Prince George County in 1712. He was married to Elizabeth, the daughter of Captain John Taylor, son of Richard Taylor of Flowerdieu Hundred and his wife, Sarah Barker (daughter of William Barker, mariner). John Taylor was Justice of the Peace and Burgess in Charles City County, Virginia 1692/3, his LWT in Prince George County dated 5 April 1707, probated 9 November 1709, in which he gave his daughter, Elizabeth Duke, two Negroes and a horse named Trooper. Other children mentioned were: Frances Taylor who married Mr. Greenhill; Henrietta Maria Taylor' Sarah Taylor, both married brothers, John and Francis Hardyman. Flowerdieu Hundred was later sold by the heirs of Captain John Taylor to Joshua Poythress. John Duke, John Taylor Duke and Henry Duke were witnesses to their mother's deed for her portion of the estate, "which yet remains in the possession of Joshua Poythress descendants." Captain Henry Duke died January 1718. Issue:

- John Taylor Duke was born ca 1715, married Jane. Several deeds in Brunswick County, Virginia. Their home lay in that part of the county which later became Lunenburg County in 1745, then Mecklenburgh in 1764 (residents of Mecklenburgh in 1769). Historical Southern Families by Boddie states that both John Taylor Dukes and his son were granted lands in Georgia for services rendered during the Revolutionary War.
- Henry Duke of Brunswick and Lunenburg Counties, Virginia (1742 and 1749), married Elizabeth.
- William Duke of Brunswick County, married in 1733 Elizabeth who removed with their son, Samuel, to Granville County, North Carolina where he died in 1773. Issue:
