Daniel of Goochland and Albemarle Counties
James Daniel served as a Judge in Goochland County in 1742 and sheriff from 1743 to 1744. When that part of the county fell into the new Albemarle County he became a justice there from 1744 to 1745. Later, sheriff. He was married to Elizabeth Woodson. In 1791, James and Hannah removed with four minor children (Rebecca, William, Jasper and Hannah) from the Goose Creek Meeting to South River in Campbell County. Issue:
