Corker of James City and Surry County
John Corker, Burgess for James City in 1633 and 1645, Clerk of the House of Burgesses from 1645 to 1653, was married to Dorcas.
Captain William Corker, son of John Corker, was Burgess for James City from 1655 to 1656. He was also captain of the militia. He married Lucy, a sister of Captain John White, and left his Last Will and Testament in Surry County, dated 4 September 1677, naming his children, viz:
- Susanna Corker, married George Branch of Surry County.
- Judith Corker, married William Clay.
- Lucy Corker, married Thomas Jordan.
