Peter Clemmons, born 1749 in Virginia, died 1 November 1815 in Clemmonsville, Forsythe, North Carolina, married Comfort Coston (born March 1753 in Maryland), the daughter of Benton Coston of Somerset County, Maryland (the LWT of Benton Coston dated 28 June 1777 in Sussex County, Delaware. Wife, Elizabeth Dickerson). Benton Coston was a son of Stephen Coston, born 10 February 1686 in Somerset County, Maryland and his wife, Mary Elizabeth. Stephen Coston was the son of Stephen Coston and his wife, Comfort Furnace (Furness). Issue:

Peter Clemmons, Jr., born 2 May 1779, died 26 January 1846 in Pike County, Alabama, married 28 July 1803 (Bible) Eunice Richardson, born 21 December 1781 in Sullivan County, Tennessee, died 17 July 1869.
