Bugg of Virginia and Georgia

Samuel Bugg III was the son of Samuel Bugg II, the immigrant to Virginia, and his wife, Deborah Sherwood Bugg. Samuel III was born ca 1689 in New Kent County, Virginia and died before 1759 in Lunenburg County, Virginia. He was married to Sarah Bacon. Issue:

Sherwood Bugg, Captain in the Revolutionary War, was born 8 Jul 1720 in New Kent County, Virginia. Wife, Elizabeth Hobson, her LWT dated 6 October 1799, probated 30 July 1800 in Columbia County, Georgia. Issue:

Obedience Bugg married (1) James Martin and had a daughter, Agnes, and, (2) Mr. Newsome.
Sherwood Bugg married Sarah Ann Jones on 13 May 1788 in Richmond County.

22 August 1792 of Nicholas Bugg and his wife, Charlotte, to Thomas Glascock for 400 pounds, 100 acres which had been granted to Nathan Harris on 7 July 1772; 400 acres granted to Daniel Coleman on 7 July 1774; 200 acres granted to Robert Middleton on 16 September 1785 known as Oak Hall Plantation. Charlotte Bugg relinquished her dower.

27 July 1792. Thomas Carr to Nicholas Bugg for 500 pounds, 436 acres known as Oak Hall, bounded by the lands of William Few, Jr. 14 November 1799. Abraham Jones to Sherwood Bugg for $500, 500 acres adj. Abraham Franklin and said Bugg, Michael Sally and James Allen, being part of an 800-tract granted to Andrew Frazier.
