Blasser of Pennsylvania and Shenandoah County, Virginia
Peter Blasser was born in Switzerland and came to York County, Pennsylvania where he was a Mennonite preacher. The
Shenandoah Valley was part of his circuit. He was buried in York County, Pennsylvania. Issue:
- John Blasser remained in Pennsylvania. He had a son, John Blasser, who was a flour mill, oil mill and land owner. The son of the last John had George Blasser, the owner of "the Woodlands" near Shrewsbury in York County, Pennsylvania.
- Barbara Blasser married Daniel Hershberger.
- Frances Blasser married Solomon Hottel of Edinburg, Virginia.
- Elizabeth Blasser married Jacob Bear of Rockbridge County.
- Anna Blasser married Abraham Hite.
- Susanna Blasser, unmarried.
- Peter Blasser, born 1752, married Magdalene Bear. He built the Blosser stone mansion two miles from Harrisonburg,
Virginia. Issue:
- Barbara Blasser, born 1777, married David Burkhalder.
- Jacob Blasser, born 1778, married Magdalene Shank.
- John Blasser, born 1780, married Barbara Kagey.
- Abraham Blasser, born 1782, unmarried.
- Anna Blasser, born 1785, unmarried.
- Peter Blasser, born 1787, married Anna Bear.
- David Blasser, born 1789, unmarried.
- Jonas Blasser, born 1791, married Margaret Burkholder.
- Jacob Blasser, born 1758, married Barbara Berry of Fairfield County, Ohio. Served in the Revolutionary War. Issue:
- Daniel Blosser, born 1790, sherifff of Page County.
- Mary Blosser, born 1791,married Mr. Kagey.
- Joseph Blosser, born 1795, married Sarah James Basye; removed in 1881 to Pike County,Missouri.
- John Blosser, born 1802, Mennonite minister in Columbiana County, Ohio.
