Bird of Virginia and Georgia


Williamson Bird, Sr. was born 1728 in Prince Edward County, Virginia, died 1802 in Wilkes County, Georgia, married 1750 Phebe Price (born 1732), the daughter of Daniel and Frances Price of Prince Edward County. During the American Revolution, he was Captain of the Militia in Prince Edward County, Virgina in 1779, in the place of Charles Venable. Removed to Wilkes County in 1788, receiving bounty lands.   • Williamson Bird was found in Columbia County in 1835. His LWT dated 2 May 1839, probated 2 January 1843 in Taliaferro County. Wife: Harlow. Issue:

    4. Daughter married Mr. Lawson and had, Williamson B. Lawson.
