Grainger County Genealogy Records
Grainger County was formed in April 22, 1796 from the counties of Knox and Hawkins. The county seat is Rutledge. Anderson, Claiborne, Campbell, Hamblen, Hancock, Scott and Union Counties were all taken from Grainger County.
