OLIVER, John L., Sr. was b. 1762 Chesterfield Co., Va. lie was res. of Granville Co., N. C. when he enlisted in Rev. War in 1780. lie m. Mary Hewitt in Tyrrell Co., N. C.; m. 2nd, Amey Jones, Franklin Co., N. C. in 1789. They removed to Edgefield Dist., S. C. in 1823 and lived there until 1825 when they removed to Clarke Co., Ga. He and his son, Francis H. both received land in 1832 Ga. Land Lottery. LWT of John L. Oliver, Sr. 4/3/1845, Clarke Co., Ga. Francis H. Oliver removed to Warriorstand, Ala. where he d. in I849. The other son, the Methodist Minister, John L. Oliver, Jr. moved to ? Ref: Valeria Hardy, 1752 N Street, N. W., Washington, D. C. 20036 (1973).
Ozier, Jacob 4-15-1804-11-30-1879, born in Montgomery Co., N. C., died Cuthbert, Ga., son of Rev. Jacob Ozier (born 1771) and Sarah. He married Miss Wynn. Children: Sarah 1834, Robert Garrison 11-6-1836. He married (2) 1861 Rachel Kaigler (1816-1847), b. S. C., died Cuthbert, Ga., daughter of David and Barbara Crapp Kaigler, 8 children. S. C.
