John B. Jesse, the son of John and Catharine Jesse, was born 6/10/1783 in Essex County, Virginia. He died 9/26/1845 at his home in Greenfeld in Woodford County and was buried in the family cemetery. He was first married in Mathews County, Virginia on 12/28/1804 to Polly Dixon, a native of King and Queen County, Virginia, born 2/13/1787, died 11/14/1813 in the City of Richmond, Virginia and was buried in the St. Pauls Church Cemetery. John married secondly in Richmond, Virginia on 7/21/1814 to Hannah Ames, a native of Norwich, New London County, Kentucky, born 12/14/1796 who died during childbirth on 12/2/1828, buried in the family cemetery at Greenfield in Woodford County, Kentucky. He was married thirdly on 3/12/1827 to Martha Ann Sullivan, born 9/2/1807; she died of consumption at the home of her father, James Sullivan, on 4/22/1830. He was married fourth on 4/30/1832 to Louisa Goodloe, born 8/25/1808 in Caroline County, Virginia, died 1878 in Woodford County, Kentucky, a daughter of Vivian Goodloe and his wife, Dorothy Thompkins Goodloe.[1]

Catharine Louisa Jesse, born 12/22/1805 in Mathews County, Virginia, married Jacob Murphy in 1827.
John Dixon Jesse, born 12/22/1807 in Mathews County, Virginia.
Eliza Ann Jesse, born 2/27/1810 in Richmond, Middlesex County, Virginia. She was married on 4/9/1827 at Greenfield, in Woodford County, Kentuckyto Washington Jesse, a son of Thomas Jesse.
Mildred Gough Jesse, born 6/14/1813 in Richmond, Middlesex County, Virginia, married Leroy D. Jesse, son of Thomas Jesse, on 7/17/1832.

Robert B. Semple Jesse, born 7/5/1821 at Poplar Hill in Woodford County, Kentucky, died 7/5/1821, lived about 5 hours, interred under an apple tree at the southeast corner of the orchard, at Poplar Hill near Versailles in Woodford County, Kentucky.
Roberta Semple Jesse, born 11/19/1822 at Poplar Hill in Woodford County, Kentucky, died 9/4/1824, interred at Poplar Hill near Versailles in Woodford County, Kentucky.
William LaFayette Jesse, born 5/19/1824 at Poplar Hill near Versailles, Woodford County, Kentucky, died 7/18/1829 at Greenfield in Woodford County, interred beside his mother.
Thomas Jefferson Jesse, born 5/24/1826 at Poplar Hill, Woodford County, Kentucky, married Ann Gibson on 1/1/1846, a daughter of Abraham Gib son.
Hannah Ames Jesse, born 12/2/1828, three hours after her mother died. She was married to Louis Rankin on 1/8/1846.
