Thomas A. Bradford, born 2 Aug 1821 in Fort Gibson, Mississippi, died 24 Dec 1856 in the Kansas Territory. He was married to Jane Baker on 19 Jan 1843 in Lebanon, Illinois. He served in the Mexican War in the regiment of Colonel Doniphan in 1846. He was thirty-three years of age when he died, and at that time was the examiner of sureys of public lands for the U. S. Government. "Died of consumption, on the 24th of Dec. 1856 at the residence of Judge Worthington, on 142 Creek K. T., Major Thomas A. Bradford, aged 33 years."

Edith Elizabeth Bradford, born 31 Jul 1823 in Scott County, Kentucky, died April 1903 in Wichita, Kansas. He was married on 24 May 1840 in Sangamon County, Illinois to David Madison, who died two years after their marriage. They had one son, David Madison, who died at the age of fourteen years.
