Bird of Shenandoah County, Virginia and Kentucky


Colonel Abraham Bird was the son of Andrew Bird (died 1750 Augusta County) and grandson of Abraham Bird of Calvert County, Maryland. In 1778 Colonel Bird was a Colonel in the militia of the Revolutionary War Soldier. In 1776 he represented Dunmore in the Virginia constitutional Convention; and representative of Dunmore and Shenandoah in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1776 to 1796. He was married to Rachel Zeigler. He died in Kentucky. Issue:
