Breckinridge Samuel Miller 5-30-1891 Atlanta AC 5-30-1891
Breckenridge, General John C. died at Lexington, Kentucky on the 7th inst. To every Southern heart, this will be said news. As a statesman, patriot and soldier, he was pure and grand. Before the late war, he was the last Presidential candidate to save Congressional Government, but defeated, with his countrymen, he voluntarily led the Confederate forces in defense of the same principles, with determined bravery and distinguished gallantry. 'Breckenridge Democrats' and Confederate soldiers will ever cherish his memory, although he has now passed over the river to rest under the shade of the trees. The Marietta Journal 5/21/1875.

Butler Julia C., Mrs. "Beautiful Tribute of Respect Paid to Mrs. Julia C. Butler. The subject of this sketch, Mrs. Julia C. Butler nee Miss Julia C. Irwin, died at her residence in Cobb County, near Marietta, Georgia, on th 11th day of June 1913 in the seventy-fifth year of her age. She was the devoted daughter of her distinguished father, Judge David Irwin, the author of Irwin's Code, and for many years the able Judge of the Superior Court of the Blue Ridge Circuit. In 1860 she married Major Green Lee Butler, a gifted and accomplished gentleman who died during the late war in South-western Georgia, and after tenderly laying him away she passed through the lines of Sherman's army, then occupying Georgia, and rejoined her family, who were sojourning in Washington, Georgia. The marriage was not blessed with children and the remainder of her life and widowhood were passed at her home in Cobb County...." Marietta Journal and Courier 1/27/1913.
